Founded in 2024, Garnet Fund is the premier investment fund at the University of South Carolina

Garnet Fund strives to provide its members with a holistic education on valuation, market dynamics, risk management, and investment research.

We hold ourselves in accordance with the utmost ethical standard, and remain committed to the principles of integrity, honesty, and open-mindedness.

The fund is looking for Gamecock undergraduates of all majors who seek to expand their investing knowledge alongside a community of curious and motivated students.

Our Investment Philosophy

Garnet Fund provides a four-year opportunity for students to research investment strategies and directly impact the fund’s trajectory. Our focus on member education allows us to cultivate internal talent and deliver optimal returns.
Our Investment Strategy is proprietary in house process that aims to provide Risk-Adjusted returns in a responsible manner.
Our team extensively monitors positions in order to develop a holistic understanding of both individual and portfolio risk. We may use hedging methods to minimize exposure. Moreover, we use correlation analysis, Value at Risk, and Beta measures.
